Intuitive Movement To Unleash Creativity: A Generative Writing Salon and Movement Workshop With Megan Okkerse

We are all creative. Sometimes the work we do, societies we live in and stresses of life can make it hard to remember that. This writing and intuitive movement salon will bring each attendee to a space of increased freedom in their body and thoughts. Everyone is welcome. Don't write? Join us! Experiment with scribbling outside the bounds of rules. Don't do fitness? Join us! You will move to your own pace and comfort. 

With the holidays upon us, it is especially important to find your own truth and permission to be free, creative and clear-visioned in a time of high demands, big bills and often so much travel. 

This workshop is on Zoom. Create a cozy environment for yourself.  Feel welcome to bring snacks and warm beverage in your favorite mug. 

You'll want an open space to move on the ground with a mat or folder blanket during this workshop. You'll also want a notebook and pen or pencil unless you wish to write on your computer. All age and fitness levels are welcome. You can modify movements in a chair as well!

About The Instructor: 

Megan Okkerse has an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Vermont College of Fine Arts and was trained in the Amherst Writers Method. She is a skilled and intuitive developmental editor with 15 years experience teaching both craft and generative writing workshops, empowering writers to unleash their creativity, discover their voices, and craft powerful narratives. She has a Substack called Nomad-ish about her journey walking the Camino de Santiago and living an intuitively guided life.
