About the event
Shauna Potocky will be in Sitka April 10- 12, 2025. She will offer a public reading with Sitka Public Library, can be found on KCAW this weekend and will offer two writing workshops in the Yaw Chapel on Sitka Fine Arts Camp Saturday morning; Rise and Write and a poetry writing workshop. Help us give a warm welcome to Shauna! We are so pleased to host her stay in Sitka and facilitate the writing workshops and KCAW appearances.
Shauna is a familiar friend to Sitka. She has attended prior Tongass Mist Writing events in Sitka, visited Sitka as the July 2024 Sitka Conservation Society Artist in Residence on the Pony Farm where she wrote poetry inspired by Tlingit Aàni awe and created paintings likewise inspired.
