What can we learn from the fiction written about major global shifts; financial crisis, war, technology booms and illnesses COVID?


What can these teach us about writing that's inspired by both memory and crisis?


We'll look especially at recent fiction about COVID (Negative Space by Gillian Linden, Joan is Okay by Weike Wang, and others.

We will look at recent fiction about other global shifts and converse about the literature we know.
