About the event

Writing Intimacy and Sex: This multi-genre class will explore writing about sex and intimacy. In what ways can we embrace the sensuality of our prose, poetry. Can we plunge into the depths of our psyches and stories by writing about topics like sex, sexuality, bodies and intimacy? We will talk about these subjects, both in literature and philosophy and write about them together. Bring your stories and your curiosity!

More about Melissa: Melissa is the author of Tracing the Desire Line, from Split/Lip Press (2019). Her nonfiction has appeared in Guernica, AEON, Literary Hub, The Rumpus, Oregon Humanities, Longreads, Mid-American Review, Bellingham Review, River Teeth, Terrain.org, American Literary Review, and Catapult among other publications.
